I have this cheap white coffee table that I got at a tag sale. It has a large white surface that I want to cover with pictures, stickers, and magazine cut outs. I was wondering if there is any sort of tape that I can put over paper that will seal it down and be fairly waterproof and remain flat. Do they sell stuff like this at Michaels or JoAnnes? I’d want the role of tape to be pretty thick so I can just slab pieceson photos and still use the table as a surface for eating, playing, etc.
Any ideas/suggestions/answers?

well i do the same thing on our dining room table my mother shows off our birth certificates and our commended performances in school pictures of family…etc she had a custom outline of the table done and sent it to a glass company the cut out some glass into the shape of the table and she puts that on top of all of our stuff it keeps em from getting wet and it looks fabulous!
Not really any tape you can buy for that. you can get a piece of glass cut to fit your table or glue down you pictures with glue and buy a can of sealant and do it that way. I hope this helps! Good luck!
you could always paint over your pictures with a few coats of clear varnish, if you don’t like the glass idea, but if you go for glass make sure its the toughened stuff, more expensive but safer, and if theres children don’t forget to do something with the corners, corner caps or something
You could decoupage the top of the table to adhere your pictures. You’d have to double check the decoupage adhesive, but I do believe it is waterproof in the end. . .. if not you could clearcoat it after you are done. Your best bet to protect the pictures is to have a piece of glass cut to fit. Explain to the person who sells you the glass, what it will be used for. They will tell you the thickness you will need.
no tape, thats icky, put them on with mod podge decopage glue and then coat the surface with it two or three layers thick, then when good and dry, several days, spray it with acrylic spray that comes in a can. yes at michaels. there is no tape for things like this.
