Lately Ive noticed myself getting the same ol drink at a scottsdale, AZ bar (Glass of jack & coke). I would like to try some new stuff out but not sure what is most common and fairly priced at a bar. I have a storefront and the windows are tinted. Now, that’s fine and all for a bar but I want people to be able to see in. We have looked and not found a film on the window. I’m assuming they are tinted glass.

I added a brighter bulb in front of the window on the inside and it does nothing.

I don’t want to spend a ton of money and not know what I’m doing.

ok it has an L shape with cabinetry from wall to wall and ceiling to floor, wall oven, gas range seperate, double digital door fridge, double sink, dishwasher, wine cooler that sits in a 6 foot island with a chefs sink, and then has a breakfast bar attached to it. the kitchen measures 30′ * 14′, ALL appliances are stainless steel and some of thecabinets have glass doors. THERE IS NO tile granite or real expensive cabinets. everything is just standard cabinets, formica countertops and laminate flooring…so what would you pay BALLPARK since you cant see it?

We were out to dinner last night and she had forgotten to make the reservations. So we sat at the bar and had a couple drinks, waiting for a table to become free. After being seated, she spilled her glass of water all over the table, and onto my pants. Naturally she had to be punished for this, as it isn’t acceptable behavior. I reached across the table and slapped her face with a firm backhand. I then ordered another drink to have with my meal, and the guy at the table next to us noticed her crying. Should have I waited until we were outside to slap her?

Okay, so my 21st birthday is approaching, and I’m not exactly sure how to order a drink in a bar or restruant? I know this might sounds stupid, but I’ve obviously never done it before.

What do I need to know about ordering a beer, glass of wine, or liquior drink? I know with beer you specify is you want whats on draft or in a bottle but is there any kind of protocal to follow or terminology I should know?

I’m not sure if I should tear down the house and then sell the property. I have put money into the interior thinking I would stay. I bought new appliances (stove, dishwasher, washer & dryer), also a new furnace, hot water heater, light fixtures, new countertops in kitchen, bathroom vanity, air conditioner. Home has pella windows, 14 glass sliding doors, beamed ceiling, paneling, hardwood floors, 2 fireplaces, 3/4 brick exterior. Finished basement with bar. It’s only a 2 BR with 1 1/2 baths. It’s located in the Wood Dale area of Illinois near O’hare, on a dead end street, near expressways. Homes in the area are being torn down or added on to making much of the area larger newer homes. I have put up a For Sale sign just to get an idea of what people would pay. I need as much as I can get out of the property to live on. I need as much feed in as possible to do this. The house was built in 1954.

This guy orders a ketel one with a twist on the rocks. I peel the lemon swipe it around the rim of the glass throw it in and build his drink. I have noticed at the bar I work at a lot of people assume that asking for a twist means they want a squeeze, so I brought him two lemons on the side in a shotglass. I handed him his drink and told him exactly what it was and that there were two lemons on the side just in case he wanted a squeeze rather than a twist. This arrogant you know what fishes out the twist with his grubby fingers throws it on the bar, picks up a squeeze and says this is a twist learn your drinks. Am I wrong? I have long believed a twist was used to get the essence of the rind on the glass, and while there is a debate whether to throw the rind in the glass or dispose of it that is a twist……….

I have started counting calories and exercising daily to lose weight. I know it is bad to eat this late at night, but I am starving and wont be able to get to sleep without something in my tummy. Which one of these would be better? A glass of 2% milk, string cheese or a 90 calorie granola bar?

I am 24 weeks pregnant and I do not plan to drink during my pregnancy for obvious reasons. My problem is that me and my husband like to go to the pool hall. Usually I would have a drink, but now all I take is a glass of cranberry juice from the bar. I do advise the bar tender that I am pregnant so she does not put any alcohol in the drink. To make sure I make my husband taste it before hand to make sure there is no booze in it. Do you think that what I am doing is a good way to do it. Should I worry about alcohol?

I work as a bartender in a chain restaurant. There was a patron who was sitting in our bar area who I was serving drinks to. They seemed to be a little intoxicated. But then for no apparent reason, they just got real angry and started shouting, threw a glass on the ground and left. Nobody was hurt that I know of. What action can I as the bartender, or other patrons or our restaurant take against the person? We are in the Florida state.

The workers at the local Chinese buffets I go to are very creepy and annoying. They stand around and watch you waiting for a dirty plate, and empty glass, or anything else. It feels like they watch me eat too. Someone broke into my apartment through my balcony. I live one the 2nd floor. My sliding glass door has been broken since I moved in. It is in installed backwards, does not lock, and there is not a security bar. My laptop and other things were stolen. Can I hold my apartments liable since i do not have renter’s insurance? I’m trying to find the standard pour as well as the rates charged for them in New York City.

Right now at my bar, we’re pouring 2 ounces for each straight up but the profit ratio is much lower than my vodkas and gins so I was considering changing the pour to a 1 ounce on the cognacs and whiskies.

Since I’m starting a bottle service as well, it doesn’t make sense for me to sell my cognacs and whiskies at a higher price at the bottle when my customers can get it for cheaper by the glass.

Perhaps you have seen them in 1930-1940s movies. They look like a glass bottle, but have a pressurized spray dispenser that shoots water or any other beverage out. I want to buy one for my bar.

I’m building an outside bar. I used a famowood glaze coat but it’s not meant for outside and not very scratch resisitent-says to use famowood dura-tuff polyurethane coating. It recommends using a natural bristle brush or to spray on. I want to keep the glass like finish from the glazecoat so I don’t really want to brush it on. What would be the best sprayer/method for applying this type of sealer? I haven’t heard many good things about the wagner power sprayers. It’s gonna be a one-time thing so cheap is best. I’ve also seen some metal type sprayers that you pressurize with compressed air. I know they work great for stuff like WD40 but don’t know how they would work with a polyurethane type sealer. Anyone have any ideas?

I saw somene with it and I really want that stud, it’s barely noticeable and I think it might be 0.5 mm but I’m talking about the stud not the bar. It really looks like a small piece of glass, or a really tiny looking dimond. And you have to take a second look to really see it. Where can I get one?

My favourite drinks out at the bar is a vodka and seven. What I want to know is the proper way to make one of these. A lot say that I add an oz then fill up the glass, but that’s dependant on the size of the glass. The glass I have holds an entire bottle of beer comfortably (what’s that, 300 some mL?). What should I put in my glass to have a properly proportionate vodka and 7.

But i can have stuff with milk and chocolate in it, like ice cream. I just can’t have a plain glass of milk or a plain chocolate bar.
I have diarrhea have evertime i have milk and chocolate.

On the shower door which is glass, you can see white water marks caused by hard water. You can also see this on the chrome. I have tried cleaning this with bleach, vinegar, lemon juice, bar keepers friend, toothpaste, dish soap, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, kaboom and the works bathroom cleaner. Nothing seems to budge the marks. I have put a lot of elbow grease into it as well and nothing seems to work. Any ideas??? I also seem to have a slight ring in the toilet that I can not get out either. HELP!!!

Lately I’ve been working out and I read somewhere that it’s good for your muscles and helps them heal if you eat protein or some sugars after a workout. Is this true? For example after my morning workout (20-30mins) I have my breakfast which usually consists of a glass of orange juice, a bowl of cheerios with skim milk, and now a protein bar.

I was at a bar the other day and a man got a full glass of beer took one or 2 sips and went to the rest room and another guy came over and drank his beer and left.
I too leave my beer with someone.I can’t imigine anyone drinking a strangers beer. That is a good way to get beat up.

We are building a new house and have chosen natural cherry shaker style kitchen cabinets with some rain glass accents. Kitchen has an island with breakfast bar, foyer floor will be slate with colour variations, adjacent room is mid brown bamboo flooring. with all of that is slate OK for the kitchen? Should the granite counter top be dark (not black). Appliances are all stainless.

We are planning on buying a half lite entry door and we are also wanting to buy a storm door to place in front of it. However, we are wanting the roll-away screen storm door (because of its convenience) and the bar that goes across the storm door will slightly block some of the artistic glass in the entry door. Will this look tacky or bad? We do not want to full glass storm door because we also want the screen for when it is nice outside.

a guy walks into this bar its well known that the bartender of this bar is a jerk the man sits down orders a drink the bartender serves it and says drink it and be on your waythe man gulps down the shot and asks the barman if he is a betting man the bartender says yes the man says put this shot glass at the end of your bar and i can urinate in it from my seat and never dribble on your bar for 500.00 dollars the bartender says your on the man stands up in his chair and urinates all over the bar and doesnt even come close the bartender says that will be 500.00 please the man pays and starts laughing out loud the bartender asks whats so funny you just lost 500.00 and laughs back at hime even louder counting the money the man says to the bartender i placed a bet with the doorman for 1000.00 that i could urinate all over your bar and you would laugh about it.

I am just curious what peoples’ opinions are on some of the worst-tasting alcoholic drinks. After losing at pool on occasion, I’ve bought a round of “bar towels” for the winners (which is just a squeeze of the bartender’s towel into a shot glass) and then promptly left the bar. I was wondering what some other awful drinks are to buy a newly-turned 21-year-old tonight at the bar, just as a joke shot. When I turned 21, a buddy bought me a “prarie fire” which was whiskey, tobasco sauce, and something else…truly awful.

Hey, just another note after reading some answers…I’m not really looking for any normal or popular drinks – it’s cool if you don’t like them, but I am really looking for those “joke” drinks that bartenders can make but don’t really ever sell unless it’s meant to be a joke. I love jager and guiness and all those – I just want something truly off the wall and terrible.

The other day i was watching a movie using VLC media player, i had to make a quick trip to the store so i paused it and clicked restore to exit full screen. When i did this i noticed that i could see threw the title bar it was blurry just like glass i moved it around and played with it for a bit then i decided to try it on a different window but there was no transparency. Then i restarted the media player to see if that’s the only thing that it worked on and when i did so it was back to the original settings. It was really weird and i’m interested in getting this feature enabled.

the glass just sits on this bar but it has bolts. I took the inside panal off of the door but i cant reach the bolt with a socket wrench. is there an easy way of doing this?? provide a website if possisble.

The bouncer said that because I wasn’t wearing my glasses and because I was unable to present my student id (as I just got done with work) I was obviously carrying a fake. This is my ID and before I go to pick it up tomorrow I was wondering if there were any other actions I can take.

Does anyone know of this type of keyboard: “backspace” button next to “space” bar? Yes, this mean the “space” bar is shorter than normal. One model of Compaq had this type of keyboard model in the past. I am used to using my left thumb hitting the “backspace” button (next to space button) as often as I using my right pinky hitting the “backspace” button (next to = sign) and I dont’ want to change.

Can anyone help? Doesn’t have to be compaq model since they are brought by HP… I can’t find any keyboard like that. The one I have now is damage when I accidentally spilled glass of water on it… I hope when it it dried out in the next few days it will work again. If not, I would need to buy new one.. please help

I travel all over the world all the time and America is the only place where you automatically get a glass of ice water with your meal. Most places you have to ask and then they bring you a bottle. Even any bar in America will give you a glass of water no charge but no other bar in the world I have seen does this. Why is the rest of the world so stingy with water?

Married Life – Going To The Bar

A couple had only been married for two weeks. The husband, although very much in love, couldn’t wait to go out on the town and party with his old buddies.

Well today, I woke up late (10:00am) and had a Special K Strawberry cereal bar with a glass of milk. Three hours later, at 1:00pm, I made a fruit smoothie that consisted of strawberries, half a banana, and a container of yogurt. If dinner is around 5:00, what else should I eat throughout the day to boost my metabolism? Any suggestions, or if I’m doing okay with my eating times?

I weigh about 125 pounds. I am only 14 but i need to get my weight down to about 113 for school and stuff. I need to know how much fat/calories do i need per day so get my weight down. Also some healthy food ideas for lunch and dinner. My breakfast meal usually consist of special k cereal and a glass of orange juice, bagel with blueberry cream cheese, fiber bar, or waffles. I live in Texas where waiters get paid $2.13 an hour. They usually make me stay up to 2 hours later helping clean the restaurant and do sidework such as the salad bar, bringing glasses out, picking up dirty dishes around the restaurant and taking them to dish. How is this legal for them to make me do non-waiter stuff and still get paid $2.13 for that last hour or two of labor? And what can I do about it (and still keep my job, b/c I need it)?
