i was recently given an “ultimate game chair” that didn’t come with an AC adapter. I located on the company website where it says “* 2 – 2.5 A” but it doesn’t say how many volts it requires. Or if it matters, im not very familiar with amps and volts myself so please help?

Hi! I have a camcorder that records using DVD-RW mini discs. When I load this dvd into my laptop it’ll play it with Windows media player but not in a stand alone dvd player that I can watch on a TV. When I explore the disc it has a folder labled TS_Video. Inside that folder is other files containing the video and audio files.
I can extract the TS_Video folder to my cpu and erase the disc and reuse it. My problem is, I can’t then take the folder labled TS_video and copy it to a full size DVD blank that will play in any DVD player. Instead it will act like the camcorder mini DVD-RW and only play with Windows Media Player. I’m sure there is a simple solution but this is all new to me.
Any help would be appreciated as I would love to share my home movies with family and friends.
Also, if this process requires the use of another program to change the file extensions, please recomend a free program as I have no interest in paying for Nero or other such programs if it can at all be avoided.

So… I have searched through Wiki, Merck Manual, and Yahoo! answers and none explain this:
- I can hear this high-pitch noise usually in a quiet room since I was a little kid (now I am in the 25-39 age group);
- I can never stand loud noises, which means: NO concerts and NO crowd places (people can be very noisy). The volume of any audio instruments (headset, laptop, stereo, bluetooth headset, etc.) that I use is always set to the minimal (i.e. the level just before mute) but half of the time that’s still too loud for me;
- no known history of any sort of ear infection; recently did a physical exam and every items on that list; took a brain MRI and it appears normal as well.
- no known history of ear tremors
- I can hear my own pulses when I have headset/earplugs on (not to mention breathing – that’s loud)
- To eliminate the possible hallucilation aspect of this problem, I used a decibel meter and the Decible Meter app on iPhone to normalize my hearing “comfort” zone.
Result: ~45 db = perfect for studying, doing computer stuff, etc.
53 – 55 db = irritating to my ears (can feel ear drum ‘pulsing’), but still can tolerate that.
55 – 70 db = same, but usually I’d put on a pair of headset that is not plug into any device so long the situation allows;
>70 db = earplugs (foam) and/or use hands covering both ears.

re answer 1: er no. Tinnitus is all about ear damage and patients have a gradual loss in hearing; whereas I have the exact REVERSE scenario: oversensitive to sounds (e.g. I can hear my pulse just by finger-plugging my ears).

I have always been one to care about people and get taken advantage of. I’ve only been in one fight ever which was stupid because it was a dumb reason and i wasn’t even mad. It’s hard for me to stand up for myself and say what i want. I hardly ever get what i want because i feel bad for other people and try to make them happy, which ends up with me being depressed and angry. Some haters can’t stand the content of my questions obviously.
I wanted to fill out this form.
I tried to enter my objection and could not get past the “captcha”.
I tried several times.
I have never had trouble with “captcha” before.

There were sound of little children cooing numbers and messages
that i felt sounded so demonic and i rebuked the demonic sounding message!

I’m riding through a forest on some sort of quest. I need to stop and sleep, but I have no one to stand watch. These forests are surrounded by trolls or bandits who would love to steal my horse and provisions. How do I protect myself?

Difficulty: I can’t set up an elaborate perimeter, like ropes around my camp. It has to be something an old man could set up and do without thinking about it too much. I was thinking of putting some bells on my horse (under the belly so the thieves don’t see it), or a spring under the saddle that pops up a net or ghost or something. The alert must be audio-based. Surely someone in medieval times must have come up with something.

i own a Toshiba satellite L455 which i got right before xmas (it was on sale at best buy for $300) my brother is much younger than me and he is very much a little prick. i was sitting on the couch with the computer on my lap looking up email when here comes my brother and he starts trying to bounce on me and poke me and jab me and i tried to stand up and he pushed me and my computer slipped out of my hands and slammed onto the table then fell to the floor. the right side border of the computer was cracked open and there was a chip in the crack but i managed to shut most of the crack…anyways now when try to watch a video or even when i just have the audio turned on it makes this patting sound…its hard to describe but i mean it just sounds like your hitting a couch or something but in a softer tone…thanks in advance

I need to buy an HD Camcorder, I need something descent, I would like it to have an external speaker (or whatever that’s called) and good sound recording. I’m using it to record my stand up comedy and then put on the internet etc. I would like it to be able to take quality footage, and for me to be able to play back with audio without plugging it into a t.v.

Hi, I have a P4@3Ghz with 1GB RAM, Win XP sp2, and 2 hard disks. The computer works excellent when disks are ok, but many many times something goes weird with these disks and the system becomes really slow. Since I work mostly with audio (.wav and .mp3) this is a major problem, because when files are read, a huge amount of “buzzing” is heard (this is, music becomes slower and it sounds like trrr… bzzz…).
I have 2 SATA disks, 80G Western Digital and 250GB Seagate, and I have defragment them, at least 50 times, with all possible options.
Sometimes the momentary solution is to take them out of the CPU, keeping them connected, and stand them on their sides rather than their normal position.

If you are familiar with this problem or have any long lasting tip to share, please do !! Thanks a lot !!

I purchased a set of crystal radio headphones on ebay which I wish to remod into working headphones.

Instead of using the same cableing that is already on a set of regular headphones I wish to install in the old ones, I wish to solder new, thicker wireing onto the crystal radio cups and solder a new 3.55 mm gold jack onto the ends.

To help you understand there are 2 good tutorials online , but they dont explain what type of new wire to get or how to solder a new jack on. I am not 100% sure what type of audio wire to purchase. All the wire I see at the electronics store is the red or black kind, or the regular gold speaker wire.. but headphone wire is different because it has multiple colored strands for Left/Right/Ground

I like the look of re-wireing new cable to the outside of the cups, instead of just running the same cable straight through the cups. New, thicker wire will stand up better and the new jack would last longer as well. I was thinking wire between size 18-22 maybe?

About the recording: I know I have to work on my delivery. I know I have to Master the sound to get the best quality.

Since then, I’ve been writing better songs, but I still don’t mind listening to this one. I’ve posted some lyrics on here before and got alot of negative feedback.
My mind just writes rhymes this way. I focus alot on each individual line. Each line means alot, whether it makes sense to you or not, everything makes sense to me. I could explain it all if i needed to.

I am looking for a laptop from either dell or alienware.
I need something that can provide power for many differents tasks like websurfing, playing and editing audio, playing and editing video, website publishing using dreamweaver, using programs like macromedia flash and fireworks, and the entire visual studio suite for programming. My current laptop freezes or is slow when i use these. I usually have more than 4 of these programs running at once. I am considering the Dell Xps m1730, xps m1530 or alienware area 51. I only want to choose these so no other recomendations. I know the main differences with the power but will all of them accomplish the task of running many programs at once with out slowing. If all of them do work perfectly which as the most features and mobile ability to make it stand out. I can’t pay too much to go all out with a laptop so i need something to get the job done but with sacrificing too much. They all can be customized so can you specify which proc. and ram

i have been examining Ghost Hunters (Taps) video footage of their shadow man who is caught on camera twice on their first visit to St Augustine Lighthouse in Florida. Although i do trust them, i believe i have found a way to duplicate footage to show what appears to be shadow men. Why not try this out for yourselves! Use a standard camcorder with or without night vision, if you have night vision switch it off & use an independent infra red light source at a good distance away from the camera you are using. (or none at all works excellently) Now if you utalise a light source that is illuminating a light colored wall for instance, & the light source is directly behind the person you wish to be portraid as a shadow person, you end up with what appears to be a full blow solid apparition of a shadow man which shows no features what so ever, all you see is a black mass in the shape of a human figure, an ultra violet light works extremly well for this purpose. At, or near the top of the lighthouse there is a motion detector & if anything comes within its sensor range it gets triggered off & the internal lights come on. Well interestingly enough the shadow man is caught on camera at the top of the lighthouse but the motion detector does not get triggered. Now how can anyone prevent this from happening if they wanted to recreate this? Well if you shine a light source or a torch directly on a motion detector you render it blind, you can stand in front of the sensor for as long as you like without it being triggered & even when you remove the light source from the sensor it takes a while before the sensor re-activates. Now footage of a light is seen at the very top & appears above & behind the shadow man, now it would take two people to recreate this, one posing as the shadow man & another to direct a beam of light at the motion detector when required. Wouldn’t be interesting to find out if the light that is seen at the top of the lighthouse corresponds with the positioning of the motion detector!

When Jason & Grant were in the lighthouse & they said they could hear full blow convesations being heard of a man and a child, and a man and a woman. Strange then there is no EVP’s being picked up on their audio recording devices to back up their claim, however saying that, on camera there are sounds that sound like what they claim to hear.

Plus – Help me! can be heard at one point, to me it sounds like a pre-recorded voice played on a small hand held recording/playback machine.

The video footage of the shadow man on the staircase, it looks like that the night vision camera appears to be turned off in this sequence – i have already mentioned what happens when you turn off the night vision in this scinario, so why was it turned off?

I was thinking about purchasing some sound senstive cathode lights for my computer case, does anyone know how senstive they are to sound at the most sensitive?

My surround is actually mainly used for PC but I have an AV switch with audio out from my computer and i have a corner desk so my speakers are nailed to the wall beside me to my left and my subwoofer is behind my TV stand to its right and behind me, so since my computer is on the floor far away from the sub would it pick up any sound besides the CPU fan?
Yes, 2 feet away it would work fine but my speakers are about 4 feet above the ground on the wall to my left shoulder, and my PC tower near the ground to my right.

I bought a new JVC HDTV and i was setting it up as i liked and i ran into some problems that the instructions booklet does not cover. it does not explain the following terms so i dont know what they are or what they do.

they are, color temp, color management, dynamic gamma, smart picture, digital vnr, and MPEG NR. Can someone please explain what each of these are?

Also i was trying to set up the audio on my tv but instead of having the menu say bass treble and so on its in Hz and i dont know what the hell they stand for. It give me these options to adjust. 100Hz, 330Hz, 1kHz, 3.3KHz, and 10KHz.

When I turn on my Wii, it turns on, but nothing comes up on the screen, and there’s no audio as well. also when i turn it on, i can’t turn it off, unless i unplug it. It fell the other day, not a far drop, about two feet from my tv stand to the floor as i was playing with a classic controller. this is probably the reason its not working, but I’m dreading sending it in to get repaired, i believe my warranty is up, and i don’t feel like paying 60-100 dollars.Is there anything i can do?

I drive a 2002 Mazda Miata Special Edition with a 6 spd transmission, chrome style bar, black/saddle brown interior, silverline exhaust, chrome gas lid, and minor audio changes (crappy aftermarket headunit & 10″ rockford sub in the trunk). I need some ideas to mod my car in intuitive and fairly custom ways to make it stand out both performance-wise and aesthetically. I would like to play around especially with led’s and lighting, but any thoughts you may have that you think may sound cool would be great. I have a fair amount of knowledge and skill when it comes to most stuff with cars and installing things isn’t gonna be the biggest of my worries when it comes to implementing an idea. I would like to stay under $100 or so per project. I’m not totally poor, but I don’t wanna put 10 grand into my car just yet either. Thank you very much. Before i bother calling the police to report a stolen xbox 360 that went missing during a party, i figure the only way that i stand a chance of it being anything better than a waste of time, is if i can determine if the person left fingerprints on the monitor when they’d have had to grab it to pull out the A/V cables. So this is a basic fingerprinting question:

What can i spray or dust onto an object to detect if there are usable fingerprints on it?

I have had car audio systems stolen in the past, and even though the thief bragged to me about it, without a fingerprint the cops couldn’t do anything despite the thief’s confession to me. So i’ve decided that if i can’t find a fingerprint on the monitor, then the only way to track the guy down is word of mouth to see who knows who took it, as well as handing out flyers to the local pawn shops since the Xbox 360 had a unique faceplate and cooling unit installed.
BTW this resulted from a party my brother threw while i was in the emergency room (he’s such a sensitive caring brother) that got out of control invitation-wise (he invited and knew only about 20% of the people that showed up). My stuff was in my room completely out of the reach of any normal guests or even a medium sized party. Next time i will leave my posessions either chained down or embedded with GPS tracking.
This is a matter of seeing if i even have any evidence worth me getting the cops involved. No fingerprints means no point calling the cops. If there IS a fingerprint, then they’d be more receptive to taking it and researching it.

The more times i get my things stolen, the more i begin to lose faith in our law enforcement and start considering how to seek justice myself (using paranoid levels of video surveilance and GPS tracking in anything of value, and sleeping next to a loaded handgun locked in a safe)

I am looking for a basic 10″ sub in a box, and an amp to put in my car which is currently all stock. I went to a Audio dealer in town and got a nice demonstration and quote written up.

I already plan to install it myself- My dad is very tectonically savvy and offered to stand over me and instruct me how to put it together and wire it.

Do you think I could get a used amp+sub from someone, say off of Craigslist? Or is this just one of those things you should never buy used?

ok. i scrounged an audio that is sopposed to make someone have eheheheheh um Pleaser reactions(og). the reason is i was curiose about it. it would be a woman speaking softly asking have you ever been… hypnotized before?. she gose through a long process to calm you down and put you at ease.
ive played this for about 8-10 times and no to brimm reaction. i was never in a dreamy state nor in sum black box in my head for i could’ve open my eyes whenever i wanted.
the only experince so far was just trimmers in the muscle and curling up. even when this stuff happens i can just open my eyes and stand on my feet with no prob.
does it require more listening like the voice said? or do i need to find a stringer dosage?

Everybody keeps telling me to take out my dual 1GB graphics cards and instead trade them in for a 2 in 1 Nividia. I don’t get the point of this other than saving space, does it really make that MUCH of a difference?

My mind is always:
1. Racing(Unless Im doing something). Sometimes jumping to one things or the other, even in class, church and other places. Its like a TV, it never ever stops, even when I sleep(even though I do not think when I sleep) and/or I try to sleep. When I wake up sometimes, I feel like a completely different person, kinda creepy. I tend to have videos and thoughts opo out of nowhere. I feel bound to my mind and heart when something happens.
2. Creating some videos of scenes in my life that have never happened (its like watching something that I never did or could do) after I do something or when something pops up in my head. For example, if I get in trouble at home, I visualize that my church heared about it and treated me as a fool. Another potent example is if I see a person, I might visualize that person doing something to me. I can also see videos that are true, like I have a youtube in my brain. my mind is also like a camera, with a videorecorder so I can take pics with it, while record videos.

3. projects voices at me. its not like I hear them with my ears but its like I can sense them with my mind. like a computer senses audio. I can hear people talking in my mind(not through my ears). Sometimes It happens when I walk around and i give people misleading looks.

4. Detail/Fact Oreintated. Cannot stand opinion when facts are given. My mind tends to reason a lot(normal). I tend to wish to observe my surroundings so much, I become facinated with them. I use this as a positive as I know all the states and I can give good directions to events and places. I am facinated with facts, having a good argument, maps and random information and I write detailed A+ papers. I always pay attention to detail and every video that comes out of my mind. English is my strongest area(Except grammar) as well as history, math and some science and I am a boy so that does not seem normal.

5. Tends to affect my heart. According to most theologeons, our actions influence our hearts, not thoughts but whenever I seem to analyze a thought, my heart becomes affected by it and involved. For example, I thought about leaving christ so much that my heart started to follow and get involved with that thought and when I tried to reverse it, I found much resistance . I heard this is not normal but I just want a second opinion. I can see false and true videos and I can start getting emotional really fast in my heart without speaking a word and I automatically feel compelled to do something about it, in less than 20 seconds. Mind, thought, heart, reaction.

Also, my heart seems just stuck on something I cannot get it to move. I can confess things over and over about Christ and other things and my heart seems to not want to line up with it, like I have a heart of my own. Can someone help. its like my heart does not want to believe in something when I want it to believe so bad in my mind. Like Its completely stuck. Also, At times, I feel like I just do not want to get out of bed, be lazy and let myself go(if it is that bad). Its like I do not want to do anything but listen to music, watch tv and use my computer. Is this a bad thing or do I have an idol I need to put aside?

What medical disorders do I might have?

I saw that Hulu just released Hulu desktop, and that it’s not too hard to integrate with Windows Media Center. I have two existing computers — a desktop and a laptop — but I’d like to get a separate computer that I can plug into my home theater system without much fuss. My requirements:

I have 2 RE Audio SR 12′s D4 subs. My amp is a little on the cheap side and im only using it for right now. Speakers are wired down to 2 ohms each and ran to the amp separate. It sounds very decent at mid-high volume but once the bass hits a real low section amp kicks into protection mode.. Ok.. amp is Supposed to be stable at 1 ohm (its cheap though).. my wires are cheap as well 4gauge but very poor quality and im running a stock alt and battery.. 2 things that I think it could be..1) the cheap wire/stock alt cant handle the power its trying to pull throwing it into protection mode or 2) its just a cheap amp lol.. amp is a Performance teknique 2000 watt… (cant believe i bought it either). If anyone has had this problem or can help me hunt down the problem i would appreciate it. I have on order some 1/0 gauge knukonceptz wire which i will be changing soon along with alt, new battery, sundown saz1500d and a 15″ Fi BTL. Thanks for any advise. Cant stand that the amp keeps shutting down on me. very irritating.
Crunch amp? dont think ill make a mistake like that at this point.. already have some junk, not gonna replace it with more junk. Sundown Audio’s SAZ 1500D is what im getting. sure than blows crunch out of the water.

ok i just got the TV and Home Theater System ( H.T.S ). ok now the info, sharp 42 HD TV, samsung DVD H.T.S. i have a HD DVR hooked up to the TV with a HDMI cord in say input 1. i have the DVD H.T.S hooked up to the TV with a secound HDMI cord in say input 2. so far so good. ok now the problem. i want to hear the TV sound thought the H.T.S. speakers. and its not working. and i dont know why. if i play a dvd, all is well. ok old school, i would run the red / white jacks from the back of the TV to the stero and we had tv thought the speakers like i want. but now there are no output jacks. well there is 1. a round digital audio output jack. just 1 and its black. no left or right, no red or white. what im saying is if there were output jacks on the TV i would just hook them to the H.T.S input jacks and i know it would work like i wanted. i was told that the HDMI cable worked as a input and output but im not getting it. i might under stand if maybe i could run the DVR and the H,T,S to the same input, but you cant. for the DRV it has to be on input 1, and for the H,T,S it has to be on input 2and you have to switch from one or the other with the remote. i hope you all are getting what im saying and asking. how in the heck do i get the DVR to play throught the H,T,S. today we had a subsitute teacher. when we got into the class room he told all of us to go up to the front and get in 2 lines. then he told the front row (me and 3 freinds) to get down on our knees and he got out a camera. he took a picture of all of us, and then a video (with audio)! he zoomed in on me and my freinds and then on others. we saw it and it wasnt showing much but still it was scary. then one of my freinds said “I think thats illegal to do that without parent consent.” and another of my freinds said “ya, you could get arrested for that.” then he was like, “young lady, do not smart-mouth me and try to be all cuitsy infront of your classmates” and then she said “but it is illegal!” and he goes, “5 days of silent lunch to all of you girls!”. then one of the girls and i were leaning back in our chairs and he made us stand up for the rest of the period! Then, the other girl was leaning against the wall for like, 2 secconds and he gave her another day! it was crazy! what do i do?

I remember it used to be a fairly popular show quite a few years ago but…why is it still on and in production?

I flip onto this channel and cant stand it really….nothing is happening 99% of the time…just a bunch of talking, crappy camera work……..very poor audio (put some shotgun mics in the room for once…) just an overall crappy show and production IMO.

Anyone have any thoughts on why its still in production?

I feel TV shows are going down hill fast these days. I see a lot of “new” shows coming out or out already but most are just a rework of an older show that’s already airing or has been canceled a short while ago.

“Mythbusters” and “smash lab” are extremely similar and everyone knows MB is the better of the two…
Same with “how it’s made”..theres like 3 or 4 of those type shows out now..and dont get me started on Mike Rowe

I’m all for not watching what I don’t like but I just dont see the point in the BB show…it doesnt seem like they do anything 90% of the time…

I am about to buy a camera soon with good audio and picture quality and stuff so i can film my friend skateboarding and get him sponsored but i need tips that will help the videos we make look professional and not all cheapy. So somone who is great at filming skateboarders please tell me how i can be a great skateboarding filmer. I know I should use a stand so the video is level and that i should have a good camera not my cellphone (or something like that). i have a 7.1 setup in my living-room and the total cost was around 1000$ including Receiver and all the speakers. mostly because i got 4 of my 8 channels for free.
i want some more umph from my system so i need to find a 100+ watt per channel amp. id like to power at least 5 channels since my 6 and 7th rear speakers are pretty much never used anyway and my subwoofer is already powered by its own amp.
all that i can find online are amps that cost upwards of 2000$ is this really the price i would have to pay… my Receiver came with a 50 watt per channel 7 channel amp as part of it and i only paid 220$ for it refurb.
its a AVR247 harmon/Kardon.
i guess im looking to spend less than 400$ and get the same or better audio quality along with the extra power to be able to power my full range speakers. 3 speakers are 8 ohm 88Db, 4 speakers are 8ohm 91Db. all are rated to handle 300 watts each. RMS of around 80 and 120 watts respectivly.
I would love to know if there are cheaper amps that will work for me or any reason why these stand alone amps are so much more expensive then the one in my reciever.

2 turntables (for vinyl records) a mixer and headphones for about $300. Should I get something to work with the computer instead? Like a turntable that can change music into audio files, then we can ‘record’ our records and then mix on the computor to burn to cd. So, what about a mixing thing on the puter instead of turntables-that would require a place to stand the whole shabang…the puter set up would be more convienent. Wondering what my options are?
friend used to be a DJ, but I think he might like to record what he mixes and play it later in the car, at a party..
